What We Do
Team Fire Elite Organization, Inc. (TFE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Waldorf, MD with age divisions 5U, 6U, 7U, 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U-18U and basketball players ranging from 5-18 years of age. Founded by Kevin & Nakiea Dade with the vision of improving athletic, academic, and social accountability skills through high intense basketball training (HIBT), enforcing an educational requirement of all student athletes to maintain a 2.5 GPA, and facilitating quarterly service projects to increase social awareness while building a sense of appreciation for the community.
Our competitive basketball program focuses on advanced skills, learning, sportsmanship, hard work, and passion for the game. The instruction regimen includes practice sessions, scrimmages, clinics, leagues, and tournaments. The entire TFE staff is current members of AAU with approved background checks. Most of our coaches are NCAA certified, reputable, and highly trained coaches in the Southern Maryland Region. A few of our accomplishments include, but not limited to, AAU’s 2014, 2015 Outstanding Coaches , Athletes, & Volunteer Awards as well as the prestigious Governor’s Award for exemplary leadership and service. Our goal is to build on developing our athletes through advanced fundamentals of the game with a focus on improving speed, agility, and quickness throughout the game.
Our mission is to improve athletic, academic, and social accountability skills of youth athletes in Charles County and the entire Southern Maryland region.
The management and members of TFE will foster an environment that emphasize both academic and athletic excellence, physical and mental discipline, builds self-esteem, increase social awareness, leadership and sportsmanship.
TFE specializes in HIBIT the new effective way of basketball training that prepares players for in-game situations to develop skill sets in the game. We develop core offensive and defensive fundamentals while providing a fun and winning environment for players.
Our athletes compete in Regional, State, and National level AAU, Big Shots, United States Specialty State Association (USSA), and Youth Basketball of America (YBOA) tournaments & leagues. These vehicles will expand TFE members’ level of exposure to academic institutions of higher learning, presenting the opportunity to increase their academic portfolio beyond the general requirements.
Our Organization is a "Village"
TFE promotes a village of support, where coaches, staff, volunteers, and parents are expected to work in unison to nurture, cultivate, and support our student athletes in their overall development and team activities. We are here to serve as a vehicle of support for the greater good of all parties involved. TFE believes not only basketball, but any organized sport can and should be used as a vehicle to improve social, spiritual, and educational opportunities.
We hope to maintain a positive rapport and open line of communication with our parents to share in the responsibility required to be an active participant of our organization. TFE staff will work in conjunction with the parents to coordinate a transportation schedule both to-and-from games and practices.
In addition to providing the highest quality of coaching and fundamental skill development, TFE is committed to encouraging educational advancement, academic achievement, and leadership by promoting the importance of obtaining your education first and foremost. Our members are “Student Athletes” and “TFE Scholars”. Players will be asked to prioritize school before sports with a committed understanding to be young role models within our communities.
We will check interim progress reports along with quarterly report cards to ensure our athletes are maintaining TFE’s GPA requirements. TFE Scholar Presentations will be held to honor all members who maintain TFE’s Mandated GPA.
